How much are extensions for hair?

i have damaged hair and I need hair extenions but i dont know how much they are... do u??How much are extensions for hair?
Depends where you go and where you buy it it can go up to

11.99 - 50.99 a packHow much are extensions for hair?
depends where you get them done and what method you want.
Real human hair ones are the ones you need..so you can add heat to them and style them..

they cost about $80 at Sally's.
There are different types of extensions. Weaves, glue in, fusion, micro links are most common.

Weaves last about a month, and are uncomfortable and damaging. Cost about $300-$700

Fusion is better and uses i-tipped or u-tipped hair, they are attached using a bonding keratin glue, strand by strand (well not individual strands, but small pieces). These are damaging and can cause breakage leaving your hair very short as it breaks at the glue point.Cost $400-$2000, last 3-6 months. Hair is garbage when done.

Micro links are the best of the options. They use I-tipped hair (or loop hair)and are connected using a small ';bead';. The best thing about micro links is that the hair is reusable as there is no glue involved, and if you want to keep them longer than the recommended 4-6 months you simply move up the bead. These cost between $400-$2000+ 200 strands are needed for full head with this, as well as fusion.

You can cut costs by buying your own hair. You want to buy Remy Human Hair, this hair can be cut, dyed whatever, you treat it as your own. With the exception of washing, you cant wash all different types more than 2-3 times a week. If you need help finding good quality affordable hair please let me know.

Clip ins are best, and cheapest and most non damaging and natural looking, you can get 2 packs (looks more natural) online for less than $100. let me know if you need more help

What is the best color hair extension for hair that is dark brown???

please tell me! i want other peoples oppinionWhat is the best color hair extension for hair that is dark brown???
dark brownWhat is the best color hair extension for hair that is dark brown???
copper that will really look good
a little dark color like dark purpal or navy blue
I have really dark brown hair thats actually light brown in strong sunlight but I used to have highlights light brown or different shades of brown such as caramel are really pretty!
Same colour,, so that they look less fake :)

xx
chocolate color
light brown
I'd go with hair extensions that are the same as your hair-Dark Brown. It looks more real, when it's the same colour as your hair.
BLUE
uhm probably carmel.

that would look fantasic!

(=

gooood luck!
dark brown
HOT PINK!!!
I would say that the best complimentary hair color for hair extensions, being that the color that we are dealing with is dark brown, would be an off-pink to purplish color. In regards to the hair extensions, they often become infected %26amp; puss like at the injection site. In light of this, I would very much recommend either dreadlocks, corn rows, or even a mohawk would be a good cut during the summer months. The mohawk gives one many options, and can be easily covered up by a sombrero in the winter months. Hope this helps!
light brown highlights. or bronze. those are basically the BEST colours to mix with dark brown.
Crimson.

Give people a warning about what you are really like.
ummm, the same color as your hair? or are you talking about having like blonde underneath?
dark brown unless you want to add some highlights to it, in that case you can get blonde extensions or red extensions. I suggest blonde ones in the summer and red ones in the winter.
dark brown?
same brown with highlights
well dark brown of course.

how bout a purple.
well.. I would suggest just adding highlights and going maybe a reddish borwn or reddish dark blonde color. I would no go with any fake hair that could fall out and turn into a really embarassing situation.

Best looking, best for your hair.About how much does it cost to get extensions? (for hair)?
Hey babe,

Try googling ';micro link'; extensions. You can usually find a good reputable seller who sells HUMAN hair, and you can get one of your friends to put them in. its pretty easy, i used them for about 2 years until my natural hair was long enough that i didnt need them any more!

They cost from about $150 - $200 for a full head and all you need to do is go to a hairdresser to cut your hair how you want it.

If you went to the hairdresser to get extensions they can be anywhere from $500 - $2000.

  • Extensions for hair?

I have extensions in my hair, the kind that you glue in. Well anyways I have been washing my hair and I know that is making them fall out and become loose. It is pulling my hair and its so annoying, there is still some glue in my hair that I can't get out. Do you know of any ways to get the glue and extensions out other than pulling them out? Thanks.Extensions for hair?
There are some glue dissolvers, or you can use really good oil to help get them out.

Best way for me was to melt the glue with a iron then picked the glue and hair extensions offExtensions for hair?
just use some shampoo put it in ur hair while its dry and pull the glue itll kinduh slide off

and then after that wash ur hair to get rid of the split ends
you can go to Sally Beauty Supply and they have glue removing shampoo and solution. Or you can do what I did and squirt some baby oil on to the track( where the hair is sown together, the part that is glued to your head) my tracks slid right out. Then I combed the little of pieces of glue our my hair was so slick it just came right out. Just remember to shampoo your hair twice to get the oil out
I had hair extensions and salons sell this stuff called glue dissolvers. It breaks down the glue and the extensions come out with it! And it doesn't hurt a bit.
Get a shampoo that is deep cleansing, and use it. Wash it until your hair feels clean. Then use a soft toothed comb to brush out your wet hair. This may hurt, but hold the top of the strand of hair, and then brush down. Keep tugging until you can brush through it without problems, then dry it. Repeat once a day until glue comes out.

How much do extensions for hair cost?

That depends entirely on the length of your hair, how much length of new hair you are adding, the quality of the hair... i.e. whether you will wear thermofiber (can be curled, straightened, etc - there are some good quality thermofibers - I like plastikhaar quality wise %26amp; Wawa is also pretty good quality for how cheap it is) or monofiber (cannot have heat used on it) or insist on human hair, the installation method, and also the thickness of your hair. You can send me a message through here if you want more specifics.

You can look to spend anywhere from $200 to $2,000. There are sooo many variables. How much do extensions for hair cost?
You could do the hair extensions yourself. I ordered a instructional DVD and some supplies, and my sister was able to put them in my hair. It is pretty easy to do using the micro-links and pre-tipped hair. You can buy the supplies anywhere online. I got the DVD at amazon it was

ASIN: B000QG6TW6 Otherwise you will pay 600-1500 to get them done at a salon. Good Luck! How much do extensions for hair cost?
do them in your hair or how much they cost in the stores

i have extention minds cost 10.00 i the stores to them in the salon is about 80.00 dollars

    Sewn in extensions for hair?

I would like to get sewn in extensions, in the very near future. my hair is currently shoulder length (if that's useful). I was wondering if anyone knew a good place I could go to in Edmonton.

If you've had experience, please share. also if you could include price you paid etc. any of this would be so helpful !Sewn in extensions for hair?
personally, im a beauty advisor and me and another b.a. were talking about this earlier, because the glue is like 99 cents, and the needle and other things are also 99cents, all your paying for is the hair, but if you go get it done at a salon your paying like $800 or so..

my advise is finding someone personally, an aquiantence, to do it for you and youll get it much cheaper..

Hair extensions for hair that has thinned?

Hi. Over the last year I've noticed a gradual but annoying thining of my hair. I had no freakin' clue what it was, but turned out to be a side effect of a medication I'd been taking. I'm not looking THAT bad, but thought about a few extensions to thicken it up. Any experience with doing this for this reason? My hair is middle of back length and slightly wavy, if that makes a difference. Thanks!!Hair extensions for hair that has thinned?
Yes I have hair extensions they're wonderful. You can't tell that they're fake, but they are costly. The best kind is 100 percent human hair extensions using the ';bonding'; method, in which the bond the hair to your own hair with keratin wax (not glue! that will ruin your hair, make sure wherever you go uses keratin wax. Places that are professional would). They other way is getting them sewn in, when you take them out it makes your hair poof up in a big afro and it gets tangled a little bit:P And having braids that tight can be painful. Bonded is the way to go! It's much better for your hair.

Also... I've been getting this type of hair extensions for years. My hair is healthy and shiny when I take them out, even moreso than before because the kertatin protects your hair and you don't have heat damage on the new hair that's growing in.Hair extensions for hair that has thinned?
Hair Extensions might make it look better in a short term sense, but I had a friend who did that and the extensions caused her hair to tangle up and it made it look like clumps almost like dred locks, she ended up having to pull chunks of hair out and it ended up thinning her hair out more. I would stick to vitamins and minerals for hair growth. it only takes a couple months to have and inch or two to cover the scalp and it would blend in with the longer hair until it caught up. Besides I wouldn't like the idea of someone else's hair touching my face and in my hair brush. LOL
Yes I have been doing hair extensions since 1989. Your hair is thinning and will look better with the added thickness. You should have the extensions done professionally. The glue from Sally's will result in more problems and probably turn you away from the idea of extensions all together. Glue is a broad term sometimes used in talking about gluing a weft to your hair near the scalp or in the Keratin based fusion. I like fusion or cold fusion. Both look very natural. Some cold fusion can be reused and is more cost effective. Fusion generally lasts about 4-6 months without a need to return to your stylist in between time. The cheaper fix would be a Weave. Make sure you get 100% Human Hair and not Yaki if you are doing this with a friend. Stay away from the metal clips as they slide down the hair shaft scraping, pulling, and slithering it away.
yea they would make you have fuller more thick hair. i know from experience that the extensions that get glued to your hair will rip your hair out when you go to take them out. so another option than to use those is the ones that snap into your hair along the scalp.
I would never recommend extensions to thinning hair as the process creates a great deal of tension on the hair and scalp
looove 'em. i've got some in my short hair right now! no one can tell, except that my hair ';grew'; overnight :)

they're not complicated to learn, but a little tricky to get a hang of.

find a sally beauty supply and hanve them help you pick up some hair. get a bottle of glue while you're there.

as for applying them...you might want to get a buddy for this one!

you're going to section the back of your head horizontally, about 3 inches above your hairline. take the weft of hair and measure it across the parting, leaving around 1/2 inch on the edge of your hairline (around your ears). apply glue to the weft (the part that's sewn), and stick the hair strip slightly under the parting. you don't want to glue them directly onto your roots, but it's okay if you do accidently.

now continue in that manner, leaving about an inch between each section, up your head. you probably only want 4 to start out with, as it adds a lot of weight to the back of your head!

when you're confident, you can start playing around with different looks, by wrapping them all the way around your head to the front! you don't need to cut them, as they will look ';layered'; already.

getting them out can be tricky, but the best thing i've used is goo-gone -- seriously!! using anything else (olive oil, baby oil, massage oil) - all leaves your hair disgustingly filmy.

i try to shampoo every other day, as any sort of conditioner will wear down the glue. as long as you care for your hair and extensions, there's no harm to be done!

definately email me if you're confused or have more questions! extensions are sooo fun and are a great way to mix things up!

    (zelkraps@yahoo.com)

edit: you should also pick up some decent shampoo to add some stength to your hair. i love sexy hair concepts soy shampoos and conditioners. soy does wonders for your hair!

another easier fix : thickening products. rusk makes AWESOME products called thickr. ask your local stylist for advice on which product would work best for you.

you can pick up a volumnizing mousse and focus the product at your crown and top of your head right before you blowdry, too.

    GOOD LUCK!!

Micro extensions for hair for white people.?

    Are they safe?

How long can i keep them in?

I do my own hair , and its perfectly healthy and everything.

Dont post stupid comments okay, thats your own time wasting.Micro extensions for hair for white people.?
I personally think that they are safe for any hair type. You could probably keep them up to 2 weeks, it depends if your scalp starts itching bad. I don't wear fake hair or anything, but I have black and japanese mixed hair, and when I get my hair braided, I leave it in no more than a week because after a while, it starts itching really bad.Micro extensions for hair for white people.?
My sister had them in for a few weeks, looked great...only thing is when taking them out it took alot of her hair with it! LET YOUR OWN HAIR GROW,DON';T BE FAKE/

Hair extensions done professionally cost quite a lot (anywhere from $500-$200), so I'd suggest you do a search for 'human hair extensions' on ebay. They come in a few different varieties which can be attached in different ways, but since you needed them for one specific event, I'd suggest you get clip in ones.

You can get a full set (enough for your whole head) of clip in human hair extensions for about $50-$90, and the advantage of clip in's is that they don't damage your real hair, and you can put them in or take them out really easily, whenever you feel like it.

If you get human hair ones, you can curl them, straighten them, blow dry them, and even dye them as well. I have a few sets of my own that I've purchased from ebay, and I absolutely love them!

    Hope this has helped!

i got a bob and i find the hair at headkandy.com is fantastic they are such a good price as well if i remember right i think there 100dollers in uk that would be 50 pound and they come with free extra hair aswell and comb and clips, plus free delivery me and most my friends get them from there im always pleased with them

    Extensions for hair?

I have short hair and it looks good and I like it. It looks like how Riahna used to have it. But the thing is I cant really do many things with it like I used to, and I'm getting kind of bored with the same hairstyle evryday.

So I really need to get some extensions or something to grow my hair back.

getting real extensions are really bad for your hair they rip it out and it becomes thin so if you want clip in ones the nicest kind is the Jessica Simpson's brand i know you would not think so but yeah there really good but expensive , then that way your hair will still grow
